Plein air landscape painting is a fantastic discipline - nature surprises me every time with the variations in colour - colours that would be difficult to imagine in the studio and which a photograph can never reproduce accurately.
All my paintings begin life either as plain air sketches, and the smaller ones are often than painted outside.
I always give 10% of the sale price of an original painting to environmental charities to honour the healing powers of Nature that inspire and help me.
