River plein air paintings
A series of small plein air oil paintings and 3 watercolours, that I made during lockdown and again into the autumn 2020. The small stretch of the River Frome runs through the centre of Stroud next to a bypass. It is a little wildlife haven, with dipper, kingfisher and other wild creatures.
I have been visiting the river by bike during summer of 2020 with a simple kit of oil paints and sitting on the banks doing these water studies - delightful passtime!
These sketches stand up by themselves as small paintings, and I will exhibit them as such.
