Angie Spencer Paintings Summer Newsletter 2024

When I wrote my last newsletter a year ago, I was just starting on a year long adventure painting regularly in the Painswick Rococo Garden. I’ve had such a lovely time painting there and the paintings I’ve done will be featuring in an exhibition at Spencer House Gallery this summer – read on for details of all the events coming up !

‘Everything in the Garden’

An exhibition at Spencer House Gallery featuring my Rococo Garden series of paintings alongside work by some of the winners from the Rococo Garden plein air competition, plus joyous large semi-abstract florals by Wendi Weller. There will also be a range of other garden-themed work in ink, paint, pencil, print, textile and many kinds of sculpture. June 22nd - August 24th

You are very welcome to attend the PV on Friday 21st June 6.30 – 8.30pm

Running alongside this is an exhibition of some of my older work, plus some new pieces on a nature based theme at the Tetbury Goods Shed.

‘Nature’s Garden’

A (mostly) solo exhibition at Tetbury Goods Shed featuring the best of my earlier work revelling in the beauty of the woods and rivers of Gloucestershire.

This exhibition also includes the Highly Commended winners from the Rococo Garden plein air competition.  June 26th – Aug 11th

I’ll be in the Tetbury Goods Shed on June 29th between 11 am and 3pm for a ‘meet the artist’ event – I look forward to seeing you there if you can make it.
